ABOUT
Dr. Johnny Chen has devoted his career to the clinical practice of Chinese medicine, with a strong foundation in Classical Formula Medicine (Jing Fang). By integrating syndrome differentiation, acupuncture, and specialized meridian-based manual therapy, he specializes in General Internal Medicine, Women's Health, Constitutional Medicine, Pain Management, Structural Rehabilitation, and the growth and development of children, adolescents, and young adults. Guided by the holistic philosophy of Zhongdao Medicine, he emphasizes treating both the root cause and the presenting symptoms, helping patients restore internal balance, strengthen their constitution, improve overall body function, and achieve lasting health.
He currently serves as a Doctor of Chinese Medicine at Da Yi Acupuncture & Herbs and is also a principal lecturer for the Da Yi Medical Group – Zhongdao Medicine Public Education Program. Committed to the mission of serving the community and cultivating physicians who embody both clinical excellence and compassion, Dr. Johnny actively participates in Chinese medicine education, physician training, and public health education. Through these efforts, he is dedicated to preserving the classical wisdom of Chinese medicine, promoting sound health knowledge, and enabling more people to benefit from the holistic principles of Zhongdao Medicine.
His clinical practice focuses on General Internal Medicine, Constitutional Medicine, and Functional Restoration. He has extensive experience treating acute and chronic internal disorders, chronic fatigue, digestive disorders, sleep disturbances, immune dysfunction, allergies, and a wide range of constitutional imbalances. He also specializes in women's health and fertility support, pediatric constitutional care, adolescent and young adult development, puberty support, height development, physical recovery, emotional well-being, and whole-person health management, helping patients of all ages build a stronger constitution and achieve balanced physical, emotional, and developmental health.
In addition to internal medicine, Dr. Johnny is highly experienced in acupuncture, meridian-based manual therapy, and structural rehabilitation for the treatment of neck and shoulder pain, low back pain, frozen shoulder, sports injuries, spinal and pelvic misalignment, joint dysfunction, and other complex musculoskeletal conditions. He believes that many chronic pain conditions and functional disorders originate not only from local structural problems but are also closely connected to internal organ function, the circulation of Qi and Blood, meridian balance, and constitutional health. Therefore, his treatments focus not only on relieving pain but also on restoring internal harmony, regulating organ function, rebuilding constitutional strength, and improving overall body function to establish a solid foundation for long-term health.
Dr. Johnny believes that the true value of Chinese medicine extends beyond treating disease. It lies in strengthening the body's vital energy, improving constitutional health, and activating the body's innate capacity for self-healing. Every treatment plan is carefully tailored to each patient's condition, constitution, and lifestyle, helping them regain health, restore physical function, enhance their quality of life, and rediscover vitality and confidence.
Guided by the philosophy of "Treating the Root Cause and Strengthening the Body's Foundation," Dr. Johnny is committed to helping every patient restore balance, rebuild constitutional health, and cultivate the harmonious well-being of body, mind, and spirit through the principles of Zhongdao Medicine. He believes that true health is not merely the absence of disease, but a life lived in balance, vitality, and harmony. Only by restoring harmony within the body, with nature, and between body, mind, and spirit can lasting health be achieved and a life of strength, purpose, and vitality be fully realized.
